Overview

Relocation Authorized: National - Single. Telework Type: Full-Time Office/Project. Work Location: Lake Charles, LA.

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant LNG production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000 m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary

In this role, you will monitor and organize planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of craft and operators. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

Major Responsibilities
  • Monitors and organizes work activities, through coordination and instruction of supervision and craft staff within the area of responsibility.
  • Role supports projects of moderate complexity and few stakeholders involved.
  • Planning / Productivity: Provides construction drawings and sketches from Field engineering.
  • Develops planning construction methods and procedures.
  • Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Safety / Quality: Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
  • Technical: Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
  • Coordinates engineering solutions with field engineers, Foremen and Craft Professionals.
  • Coordinates with field engineering on constructability issues.
Education And Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge And Skills
  • Provide overall field supervision and day-to-day management of the 4-mile shoreline protection project.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation of articulated concrete block (ACBM) mattress systems in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
  • Supervise placement of riprap, bedding stone, and filter layers to required lines, grades, and thicknesses.
  • Ensure proper site preparation, subgrade conditioning, and erosion control measures prior to placement of material.
  • Coordinate crews, equipment, marine assets (if applicable), and material deliveries to maintain schedule and productivity.
  • Enforce project safety requirements, conduct daily toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Monitor quality control, including material inspections, placement tolerances, compaction, and tie-ins between shoreline sections.
  • Verify work conforms to contract documents, engineering standards, and environmental permit conditions.
  • Interface with the project manager, engineers, inspectors, and client representatives to resolve field issues.
  • Track daily production, quantities installed, manpower, and equipment utilization, prepare daily reports.
  • Identify and mitigate construction risks, constructability issues, and schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate survey and layout activities to ensure shoreline alignment and elevations are maintained.
