Job summary

DynaTen Corporation in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Superintendent - Piping to lead commercial mechanical piping installation teams, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery of projects such as chilled water and steam systems. You will translate project requirements into executable work plans and coordinate with project management, general contractors and other trades.

• Ability to plan labor and material, read project schedules, and lead safe installation work.
• Knowledge of drawings, specifications, codes, testing requirements and quality standards.
• Experience with mobile devices and construction software for drawings and reporting.
• Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all assigned trade crews performing piping work and establish safety, quality, productivity expectations.
• Build and communicate project work plans using drawings, schedules, budgets and site constraints.
• Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, deliveries and work areas to support production.
• Review documents, identify constructability issues, and escalate RFIs when needed.
• Verify installations against drawings and specs, track progress and report metrics.
• Coach employees, assign tasks, recognize performance, and address concerns.
• Lead pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, toolbox talks and safety routines.

We offer strong long-term career opportunities, excellent benefits, and a positive, team-oriented work environmentPosition SummaryThe Superintendent - Piping leads all assigned trade crews responsible for the safe, timely, and high-quality installation of commercial mechanical piping systems, including chilled water, heating water, condenser water, refrigerant, condensate, and steam. The role converts project requirements into executable work plans, develops field talent, and coordinates closely with project and trade partners. This position reports to the Senior Superintendent or General Superintendent.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead all assigned trade crews performing work on commercial mechanical piping systems, including chilled water, heating water, condenser water, refrigerant, condensate, and steam and establish clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and conduct.Build and communicate project work plans using drawings, schedules, coordination information, labor budgets, material status, and jobsite constraints.Plan manpower, tools, equipment, access, prefabrication, deliveries, and work areas to support reliable production.Review project documents, identify constructability issues and scope gaps, and elevate requests for information before they affect the work.Coordinate sequencing and access with project management, general contractors, other trades, vendors, inspectors, and commissioning teams.Verify installations against drawings, specifications, codes, approved submittals, and quality checklists; drive timely correction of deficiencies.Track installed quantities, labor performance, schedule status, material needs, and constraints; provide accurate daily or weekly reporting.Coach employees, assign work, document performance, recognize strong results, and address conduct or performance concerns with management.Lead pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, toolbox talks, housekeeping, and incident prevention activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAt least 8 years of commercial mechanical construction experience in piping work, including progressively responsible field leadership.Demonstrated ability to plan labor and material, read project schedules, and lead safe, productive installation work.Strong working knowledge of applicable drawings, specifications, codes, testing requirements, and quality standards.Ability to use mobile devices and standard construction software for drawings, reporting, time, and documentation.Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.Preferred QualificationsCompletion of a recognized apprenticeship or technical training program.OSHA 30-hour Construction credential and current competent-person or equipment certifications relevant to assigned work.Experience on large healthcare, data center, laboratory, manufacturing, or other complex commercial projects.Experience with lean planning, prefabrication, BIM-enabled work packages, and production tracking.What you can expectExceptional health, dental and vision insurance.Paid Employee Only Medical CoverageIn house and manufacturer led training, and leadership developmentLong-term career growth into operations, sales and/or leadershipComprehensive benefit package and employer sponsored memberships401k matchPTO and Holiday PayAnnual incentive programStable workWorking ConditionsMust have the ability to perform the duties above in a non-controlled environment.
