Job summary

Helix Electric Inc. in Reno, NV seeks a Field Construction Supervisor to lead safety and environmental programs, coordinate labor, materials, and equipment, and guide field personnel on 15+ electricians.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman trade certification in a related construction trade (preferred).
  • Proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Building Codes.
  • Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and providing leadership for safety and environmental programs
  • Monitoring job costing, quality reporting, forecasting, and productivity
  • Coordinating all labor, materials, and equipment
  • Completing field administration: timesheets, quantity reports, purchases, and job diaries
  • Organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activities
  • Implementing and monitoring the construction plan, including scheduling and logistics

  • Participating in all field work activities and willing to work with tools when necessary
  • Collaborating with support departments such as prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Physical Demands
  • Job requires working in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Ability to use construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns)
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 300 lbs. (class 1A) and routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 lbs.
  • Requires climbing ladders, steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching; allows pushing and pulling of objects
  • Use of personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves); use of respirator when required
