Job summary

Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC is seeking a qualified Superintendent to lead field operations on federal healthcare construction projects. The role focuses on quality, schedule adherence, safety, and comprehensive coordination with project stakeholders.

The candidate should have extensive experience as a Superintendent on similar projects, with Procore and RMS proficiency, and a willingness to travel as needed. West Point, NY area preferred, with federal project exposure.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction management experience for medical facilities.
  • QCM-C certification is required.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are required.
  • Proven Superintendent experience on similar federal projects.
  • Experience with Procore and RMS.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall quality and production in line with contract documents.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and budget project activities.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager daily and with the Owner as needed.
  • Manage subcontractors, contractors, owners, inspectors, and AHJ field coordination.
  • Oversee field staff coordination with Quality Control Manager and Site Safety and Health Officer.
  • Attend pre-construction conferences, pre-work meetings, and periodic coordination meetings.
  • Review subcontractor work scopes and ensure alignment with schedule.
  • Maintain Baseline Project Schedule and provide input on dates and durations.
  • Prepare short-term look-ahead schedules and hold necessary coordination meetings.
  • Support progress billing through monthly coordination with subcontractors and Owner.
  • Oversee quality control and safety programs; manage deliveries and equipment usage.

The Superintendent will lead field operations for construction projects, ensuring effective coordination, schedule adherence, quality control, safety compliance, and successful execution of all project activities.

This position is located in West Point, NY.

SES Electrical LLC performs work throughout the continental United States. The ideal candidate is located in or near West Point, NY but is willing and able to travel for work on future projects.

The salary range for this position is $120,000-$140,000 annually
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage overall quality and production of work and conformance to contract documents.
  • Manage/maintain all necessary planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting for project activities.
  • Coordinate/communicate with the Project Manager daily.
  • Coordinate/communicate with Owner as necessary.
  • Manage subcontractor, contractor, owner, inspector, AHJ field coordination, daily.
  • Manage field staff coordination with Quality Control Manager and Site Safety and Health Officer
  • Attend the pre-construction conference and pre-work meetings including three phase inspection meetings.
  • Manage/maintain weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Attend/participate in weekly Owner's meetings.
  • Review and be knowledgeable of subcontractor's subcontracted scope of work.
  • Manage all coordination necessary to complete the scopes of work and prevent extra work or lost time to the greatest extent possible.
  • Be familiar with the subcontractor's budget and cost structure.
  • Review and be knowledgeable of the Baseline Project Schedule.
  • Provide input on dates, durations, and coordination, monthly.
  • Prepare short-term detailed look ahead schedules, weekly.
  • Request, prepare, and hold coordination meetings as necessary to support the project schedule.
  • Coordinate monthly with the subcontractors and Owner for progress billing.
  • Oversee quality control and safety programs.
  • Manage deliveries, staging, loading, and unloading.
  • Supervise equipment usage on site such as cranes or earth moving equipment.
  • Ensure project conformance to national and/or local building codes.
  • Maintain accurate daily records.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in construction management for medical facilities
  • QCM-C certification
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent on similar federal projects
  • Experience with Procore
  • Experience with RMS
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Society for Healthcare Engineering (AHSE) Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) or the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) Certification
Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.

Working Conditions

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
