Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations in the Lexington region. You will supervise project execution, enforce the Zero-Injury Safety program, review drawings and contracts, and ensure built-in quality through robust QC processes.

You will drive the project schedule, coordinate with stakeholders, manage costs, and mentor staff while supporting hiring efforts as needed. Join a national leader in healthcare and higher education builds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a commercial construction Superintendent or similar.
• Advanced education, training or certifications in construction management disciplines.
• Proven leadership, organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of construction technologies and systems (e.g., AutoDesk Build, Procore, Phoenix).
• Experience with Lean Construction, Flow scheduling and 3-Phase Control.
• Experience maintaining safety policies and standards.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and managing direct reports.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking to add an experienced Superintendent to the team in our Lexington region. The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise and coordinate field operations, driving projects to successful completion through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective LEAN planning & scheduling, cost management, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior client service.

What You Will Do:

• Implement & drive our Zero-Injury Safety program.
• Understand drawings, specifications, and terms/conditions of owner contracts and subcontracts.
• Deliver built-in quality using our three-phase quality control process.
• Develop andmaintainworksitelogistics.
• Drive project schedule including day to day supervision and coordination of construction activities.
• Facilitate daily Site-Wide Huddles and Plan of the Day Meetings
• Proactivelymonitor& control project costs
• Leverage construction management and project management systems
• Support the professional development and mentoring of Messer staff.
• Support the interviewing and hiring process, as needed.
• Perform other duties andresponsibilitiesas needed.

What You WillBring:

• 5+ years of experienceoperatingas a commercial construction Superintendent, or in a directly comparable rolerequired.
• Advanced education,trainingor certifications in construction management disciplines
• Demonstrable excellence in leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of contemporary construction technologies and systems (ex.AutoDeskBuild, Procore, Phoenix, etc.)
• Proven experienceutilizingcontemporary constructionprocessesand project management systems (e.g..LeanConstruction, Flow scheduling, 3-Phase Control,etc.)
• Proven experiencemaintainingcompliance with construction safety policies and standards.
• Experienceinterviewing and hiring, managing directreports,and supporting the performance management process.
