Job summary

Leopardo Construction is seeking a Superintendent I to manage day-to-day field operations in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This role includes coordinating subcontractor activities, maintaining quality standards, and tracking project schedules.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in construction or related fields, along with supervisory experience. Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and technologies is essential. The position offers a target salary range of $100-120k along with a variety of benefits.

Qualifications

Job description

The Leopardo team is growing and looking for a Superintendent I to grow with us as a Traveler!

Summary

As a Superintendent I, you will have the opportunity to run day-to-day field operations as you plan, direct, and coordinate designated project activities. This includes subcontractor/vendor coordination activities and quality control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily subcontractor, foremen, and self-perform activities
• Initiate a project quality plan to monitor initiatives, document associated observations and ensure compliance to work quality standards
• Verify field conditions by conducting daily jobsite walkthroughs in addition to daily safe work plans and toolbox talks
• Monitor the detailed master schedule, create two-week look ahead, and track critical dates of all activities affecting the project completion
• Coordinate and participate in pre-construction, weekly, and post-construction meetings
• Review construction documents, maintain on-site and in PlanGrid
• Generate pre-punch and punch lists, determine responsible subcontractors and ensure timely completion
• Build and nurture relationships with clients/owners, architects, developers, and subcontractors
• Actively promote Leopardo through participation in presenting new projects
• Assist in recruiting and training efforts

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in construction, engineering, architecture or related fields preferred and/or equivalent training and experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience as a construction Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and a clear understanding of the business side of construction
• Comprehensive understanding of all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost control
• Competency in construction technologies such as: scheduling software (Asta), daily reporting (Raken), Bluebeam, PlanGrid. Ability to read and understand blueprints

Supervisory Requirements

A Superintendent I is responsible for managing the project.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

OSHA 30 Hour certification and First Aid/CPR certification are a plus.

Compensation

Leopardo considers many factors when determining actual salary including experience, education, unique skillsets, abilities, market, geography and business needs. Target base salary range: $100-120k. This position is eligible for annual discretionary bonus and vehicle allowance.
