Job summary

Cogentanalytics is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to manage field operations for commercial/industrial projects in Tulsa, OK. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5–8 years of field experience, 2+ years as Foreman or Assistant Superintendent, and ability to read blueprints and schedules. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years in commercial or industrial construction, including 2+ years as Foreman or Assistant Superintendent.
  • Experience on projects in the $2M–$20M+ range.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules.
  • Proficiency with field management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Construct Connect, Quick Bid, MS Project).
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and local building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day on-site operations, coordinating subcontractors and field labor.
  • Enforce project drawings, specs, and quality expectations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the construction schedule.
  • Promote OSHA safety standards and conduct daily safety meetings.
  • Perform daily quality inspections and manage punch list during closeout.
  • Maintain daily logs and report issues to the Project Manager.
  • Review RFIs and submittals as needed.

Job description

Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site activities for assigned construction projects. This includes overseeing subcontractors, enforcing safety and quality standards, maintaining schedules, and ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with a deep understanding of construction field operations and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Field Supervision & Execution
  • Manage day-to-day job site operations, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field labor.
  • Enforce adherence to project drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
Schedule Management
  • Assist the project team in developing and maintaining the construction schedule.
  • Monitor daily progress and implement adjustments to stay on track.
  • Communicate scheduling needs and conflicts to the Project Manager.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections, and maintain safety documentation.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work practices immediately.
Quality Control
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Identify and address any construction deficiencies or non-conformities.
  • Assist in punch list development and project closeout.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, including labor, equipment, weather, and progress.
  • Report job site issues, delays, or changes to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
  • Assist with RFI and submittal coordination as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in construction management preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, including 2+ years as a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent.
  • Experience working on projects in the $2M–$20M+ range preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with field management tools and software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Construct Connect, Quick Bid, MS Project).
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and local building codes.
