Job summary

Stocks General Contractors is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee field operations across our underground utility and civil construction projects.

This role requires strong leadership to manage multiple projects, lead field crews, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Travel is required for field-based work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in civil construction or underground utilities.
• Proven experience managing field operations and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and methods.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or government projects (preferred).

About the Role
