Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Travelling Superintendent for commercial construction with nationwide travel. The role covers oversight of projects from manufacturing facilities to distribution centers across the United States, five days on-site weekly.

Permanent, full-time W-2 employment; base salary $120,000–$160,000 with additional benefits. Candidates should have 7–8 years of GC experience and be comfortable relocating near home base with occasional long-distance travel.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required; construction degree beneficial.
• 7–8 years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Proven delivery on projects valued $10M+; strong leadership and communication.
• Able to read and interpret plans, specs and shop drawings; travel nationwide.

Travelling Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Location: Nationwide travel – candidates can be based anywhere in the United States

Preference: DFW, Texas, or within easy reach of a major airport

Employment: Permanent, full-time W-2

Travel: On-site five days per week, with projects allocated as close to your home base as reasonably possible

The Opportunity

We are recruiting three experienced Travelling Superintendents for an established commercial general contractor delivering projects throughout the United States.

This is a permanent career opportunity rather than a hire for one particular project. The company offers a strong pipeline of work, long-term progression and a working environment where many employees have remained for ten years or longer.

The successful candidate will oversee commercial and industrial construction projects valued between approximately $5 million and $30 million or more. Projects include:

• Manufacturing facilities and factories
• Warehouses and distribution centers
• Logistics and trucking facilities
• Parking structures

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for day-to-day field operations
• Manage subcontractors, site teams and construction activities
• Maintain project schedules, quality standards and safety requirements

Requirements

• At least seven to eight years of commercial construction experience
• Experience working for a commercial general contractor
• Proven experience delivering projects valued at $10 million or more
• Strong knowledge of ground-up commercial or industrial construction
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications and shop drawings
• Strong leadership, communication and subcontractor-management skills
• Understanding of the relationship between the owner, architect and general contractor
• Comfortable travelling nationwide and working on site five days per week
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore or similar construction software
• High-school diploma or equivalent required; a construction-related degree is beneficial

Compensation and Benefits
