Job summary

Atlantic LLC in Thibodaux, LA is seeking an experienced Foreman/Superintendent to lead daily field operations on complex heavy civil projects. You will supervise construction crews, coordinate equipment and subcontractors, and ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to project specifications.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong reading of plans, and a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy civil construction or related field.
• Experience as Construction Foreman, Superintendent, or similar leadership role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Strong focus on safety, quality control, and productivity.
• Proven crew leadership and resource coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction crews and coordinate daily jobsite activities
• Plan and organize work to maintain productivity and safe working conditions
• Coordinate personnel, subcontractors, equipment, and materials
• Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and project progress
• Identify potential delays and help implement solutions
• Coordinate with Project Managers regarding field conditions and progress
• Review construction schedules, milestones, plans, and specifications
• Promote and enforce jobsite safety and quality standards
• Monitor equipment operation, maintenance, and utilization
• Operate heavy equipment and perform hands-on construction work as needed
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality requirements
• Monitor crew performance and address productivity concerns
• Attend project meetings as required
• Maintain clear communication with project leadership

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Construction Foreman, Superintendent, or similar field leadership role

• Experience supervising construction crews

• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality control, and jobsite productivity

• Strong crew leadership and resource coordination skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an active construction environment
