Job summary

GCON Management Company LLC is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site management for high-tech client offices and data center fit-outs. You will supervise day-to-day operations, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement with Lean last Planner System practices.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with complex buildouts, owner’s rep functions, and coordination with trades, design teams, and BD on project pursuits.

GCON is looking for a Superintendent with specialty running high tech programs and creating exceptional owner relations! The ideal candidate is technically and administratively advanced with potential aligned owner's rep experience with high tech and commercial projects/programs. As superintendent, you will serve as an onsite point person/customer liaison and responsible person for every project you are assigned to. You will oversee all day-to-day operations and ensure safety on the job site, while implementing continuous improvement practices to achieve excellence in all project aspects.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee program build -out for high tech client office and datacenter fit outs.
  • Contribute to the preconstruction phase, including buyout, logistics, and scheduling.
  • Prepare operational plans and collaborate with Business Development (BD) on sales pursuits and presentations.
  • Communicate the project plan’s success factors and implementation strategies.
  • Reconcile Work in Progress (WIP) with Trade contractors’ Schedule of Values and submit timely and accurate payment requisitions.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Profit Plan (PP) and project financial forecast.
  • Conduct jobsite lean and Last Planner System (LPS) boot camps.
  • Establish and maintain a weekly cadence of LPS and continuous improvement activities between staff and trade partners.
  • Innovate and solve core and shell construction challenges, utilizing project team and trade partner resources.
  • Conduct constructability reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to provide an effective Quality Control (QC) program.
  • Create and assess Weekly Work Plan (WWP) and Pre-Task Plan (PTP) for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Execute Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures, implement Injury Free Environments, and identify safety training needs for the team.
  • Review overall safety performance and data, discuss with trade partners, and understand leading and lagging safety indicators.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • 7-10+ years of relevant site management experience on ground up commercial and/or data center projects
  • 5+ years’ experience leading and managing the build process for high tech clients/program administration/owener's rep experience..
  • Experience with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects.
  • Utilize P6 to build project schedules.
  • Proficient with Procore and/or CMIC.
Physical Requirements:
  • Legs: Must be able to climb stairs
  • Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use
  • Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid, and far range. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination
  • Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone and radio; sufficient to hear alarms on equipment
  • Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio
  • Lift/Carry: Up to 40lbs.
  • Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling
