Job summary

UnitedConstruction is seeking a dedicated Superintendent to oversee daily operations on Reno, Nevada construction sites, ensuring projects finish on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will excel in scheduling, utilizing Procore and Microsoft Project, and will lead cross-functional teams while enforcing safety and quality controls across multiple ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a superintendent in construction, focusing on scheduling.
• Bachelor’s degree in CM or related field preferred, not required.
• Strong proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project) and Procore.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Analytical and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
• OSHA certs and other safety qualifications encouraged.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality.
• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project; coordinate with managers and subs.
• Utilize Procore for project management, tracking progress, documents, and communications.
• Coordinate with project managers, subs, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and workflow.
• Lead and mentor construction crews and subs to foster productive, safe environments.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to plans and standards.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct trainings and meetings on-site.
• Address issues and challenges promptly to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and project documentation for reporting.

JobOverview

• Scheduling:Develop,implement,andmaintaindetailedprojectschedulesusingMicrosoftProject,coordinatingwithprojectmanagersandsubcontractorstoensuretimelycompletionoftasksandmilestones.
• ProcoreUtilization:EffectivelyuseProcoreforprojectmanagement,includingtrackingprogress,managingdocumentation,andfacilitatingcommunicationamongteammembers.
• ProjectCoordination:Collaboratewithprojectmanagers,subcontractors,andsupplierstoensureeffectivecommunicationandseamlesscoordinationofworkactivities.
• TeamLeadership:Leadandmentorconstructioncrewsandsubcontractors,fosteringaproductiveandsafeworkenvironment.
• QualityControl:Conductregularinspectionsofongoingworktoensureadherencetoplans,specifications,andqualitystandards.
• SafetyManagement:Enforcesafetyprotocolsandbestpractices,conductingsafetymeetingsandtrainingsessionstomaintainasafejobsite.
• Problem-Solving:Proactivelyaddressanyissuesorchallengesthatariseon-site,providingsolutionstokeeptheprojectonschedule.
• DocumentationandReporting:Maintainaccuraterecordsofconstructionactivities,dailylogs,andprojectdocumentation,reportingprogressandissuestoprojectmanagement.

Qualifications:

• Minimumof5yearsofexperienceasaSuperintendentintheconstructionindustry,withafocusonscheduling.
• Bachelor’sdegreeinconstructionmanagement,CivilEngineering,orarelatedfieldpreferrednotrequired.
• Strongproficiencyinschedulingsoftware,specificallyMicrosoftProject,andprojectmanagementtools,particularlyProcore.
• In-depthknowledgeofconstructionprocesses,buildingcodes,andsafetyregulations.
• Excellentleadership,organizational,andcommunicationskills.
• Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingabilities,withaproactiveapproachtochallenges.
