Job summary

Tech9 in Utah is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent responsible for safety, quality, schedule, production, logistics and coordination on commercial projects. You will develop and maintain weekly schedules, coordinate with the Project Manager, and lead subcontractors and vendors to meet milestones while ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience on commercial construction projects as a Superintendent.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, budgets, safety, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and inspection coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update weekly construction schedules with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings and mobilization flow.
  • Resolve schedule conflicts among subs, suppliers and vendors to avoid delays.
  • Lead subcontractors and vendors; ensure scope is completed.
  • Ensure productivity, material and equipment efficiency, and contractual performance.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and safety practices.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders and city officials as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:Manage safety, quality, schedule, production, logistics and coordinationDevelop, maintain and perform weekly update of construction project schedules.Interacts with the Project Manager to determine the project schedule; develops and utilizes "look ahead " schedules to assess progress and spot upcoming issues.Coordinates the pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager prior to mobilization.Resolve schedule conflicts between subcontractors, suppliers and service vendors to avoid delay or disruption of the project.Represents the company in meetings and interfaces with all project stakeholdersCoordinates and directs all subcontractor and vendorsWorks with the project team to establish goals and develop accountabilityAssumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, andcontractual performance of the projectWorks closely with city officials in requesting and coordinating applicable inspectionsVerifies to ensure subcontractor completes the assigned scope of workSeeks to learn changes in the industryPerforms other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of related experience working on commercial construction projects as aSuperintendentSteady job history. Reasons for leaving will be discussed.Project experience size must be a minimum of $3 million as the main SuperintendentIs a team player; works well with other people; takes time to help co-workers, customers,subcontractors and others achieve their goals and assignments.Possess strong computer skills; proficient in Excel, Outbuild, blue beam, Procore or similarprogramsAbility to effectively lead and manage teams.Ability to interact and communicate effectively with project team, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees at all levels of the organization.Extensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques as well as applicable local, state and federal building codes.Ability to read and understand work orders, budget, change orders, safety standards, plansspecifications, shop drawings, blueprints, submittals, manufacturer' s literature, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedules.Understand construction scheduling and sequencing and cost control.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.Thorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Understands and practices all OSHA and industry safety practicesShows initiative: actively tries to in fluence events to achieve goals; is a self-starter, working well with minimal supervision; strives to achieve goals beyond minimal levels of performance.E04JI800ut30409a33s
