Job summary

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent for the Central New York/Mohawk Valley area. The role supports the Maintenance Development Lead by overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the property is safe, secure, and comfortable for residents and staff.

The position requires hands-on maintenance, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and residents. We offer a competitive salary and benefits, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time maintenance experience.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and household appliances.
• Willingness to perform hands-on tasks and pursue professional development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the physical condition of the entire property
• Lead, supervise, and support the maintenance team
• Foster positive relationships with residents, team members, vendors, suppliers, and service professionals
• Diagnose and perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance, including minor and major repairs
• Manage inventory and maintenance supplies
• Implement and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance programs and safety protocols

Superintendent - Responsibilities

The Superintendent supports the Maintenance Development Lead by overseeing the Maintenance Team and ensuring the property is maintained to provide a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for preserving the overall physical condition and operational integrity of the property.
