Job summary

Helix Electric in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Superintendent to lead large-scale electrical project installation and execution. You will oversee safety, scheduling, field operations and coordination with subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record delivering safe projects, strong leadership, and the ability to manage diverse crews on complex sites. This role requires hands-on field work and close collaboration with support departments.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification asset and strong safety record.
• Experience delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent organizational and detail orientation for fast-paced environments.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.
• Knowledge of Building Codes; OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and environmental programs on site.
• Monitor job costing, quality reporting, forecasting and productivity.
• Coordinate labor, materials and equipment.
• Manage field administration: timesheets, reports and diaries.
• Oversee subcontractor activities and logistics.
• Develop and monitor the construction plan and schedule.
• Mentor field personnel and participate in field work as needed.
• Collaborate with prefabrication, purchasing and accounting teams.

Our Superintendent is responsible for the installation and implementation of large-scale electrical projects.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:

• Managing and providing leadership for safety and environmental programs
• Monitoring job costing, quality reporting, forecasting and productivity
• Coordinating all labor, materials, and equipment
• Completing field administration: timesheets, quantity reports, purchases, and the job diaries
• Organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activities
• Implementing and monitoring the construction plan; including scheduling and logistics
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing field personnel (15+ electricians)
• Participating in all field work activities and willing to work with tools when necessary
• Collaborates with support departments such as prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Journeyman Trade Certification in a related Construction trade will be considered an asset
• A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Excellent knowledge of the Building Codes
• Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, CPR First Aid

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
• Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).
• Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1-250 lbs., Class 1A-300 lbs.).
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required.
• Climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
