Clark Construction Group is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial projects. You will oversee self-performed and contracted work, ensure compliance with contract documents and the project schedule, and drive safety and quality on site.

The role emphasizes developing and communicating the project schedule, coordinating logistics, mentoring team members, and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Experience leading field operations and motivating teams.
• Working knowledge of safety and building regulations (OSHA).
• Understanding of owner/subcontracts and vendor agreements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality installation of contracted work for a project or scope.
• Implement and enforce safety and quality culture on Clark employees and trade contractors; conduct regular safety inspections.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule; track critical milestones with stakeholders.
• Manage jobsite logistics, sequencing, materials, and personnel; ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Mentor and develop team members; build strong relationships with stakeholders and represent the company in meetings.

As a Superintendent, you will leverage your capacity for innovation and problem-solving to lead field operations to ensure an exceptional project is delivered to our clients. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.Your Work Environment: You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
