Job summary

RogueSearch in the United States is seeking a Superintendent or Construction Leader to drive a major industrial construction project with a stable, multi-year outlook.

The role oversees field operations, safety, schedule, quality, coordination with subcontractors and project teams, reviews drawings, ensures OSHA compliance, and delivers daily/weekly reports with project documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • The Superintendent position will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination and work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team.
What you will do:
  • Monitor subcontractors and trades in order to meet deadlines and milestones of aggressively paced project schedules.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other division superintendents.
  • Review construction drawings and shop drawings for job feasibility.
  • Ensure adherence to strict safety standards ensuring Subcontractors are properly trained and knowledgeable with OSHA and safety related areas.
  • Completion of daily and weekly Project Reports.
  • Responsible for daily reporting in construction management software.
  • Document status of project with digital photographs on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to properly receive purchased materials.
  • Prepare change orders as required.
  • Responsible for QA and punch list generation with Subcontractors.
What you will need:
  • Ability to effectively use a computer and required software (Microsoft Office, MS Project); SharePoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws.
  • Knowledge of permitting, review and inspection process.
  • Ability to monitor and respond to multiple scopes of work occurring simultaneously.
  • Ability to forecast scheduling challenges and present possible solutions.
  • Ability to complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to be alert to all that is taking place on the job site.
  • Ability to show truthfulness and honesty in all situations.
  • Ability to be decisive and to recognize key factors and provide input to make difficult decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an on-site Superintendent or Field Engineer; experience with above listed responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of construction trades with focus on concrete work (foundations, slab on grade, pits, and trenches for manufacturing plants. Renovation experience work within live factory).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy. DMV checks performed annually.
  • University degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 10+ years of experience preferred.
  • Minimum requirement is a high school diploma, with 10+ years of related experience.
