Job summary

Honour Consulting Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent for a Charlotte, NC-based Commercial General Contractor. The role focuses on on-site project management across healthcare, automotive, light industrial, and corporate office sectors.

Ideal candidates will have prior commercial construction experience, a proven track record supervising subcontractors, and the ability to manage safety, schedules, budgets, and quality on ground-up or interior build projects in the Charlotte area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction supervision experience.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and field teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and site protocols.
• Ability to operate on-site at projects in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Lead productivity and monitor work performance to ensure project plans and schedules are followed and the project is executed effectively and within budget.
• Develop construction plans to manage subcontractor activity and coordinate field operations.
• Ensure construction work complies with design requirements and quality standards.
• Supervise and coordinate field engineering and construction activities on site.
• Practice sound hiring procedures and supervise team members.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets; assist in commissioning project systems.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet project quality standards on all sites.
• Implement and enforce company safety standards and policies on the job site.
• Document and report all injuries; fill out the Incident/Accident Report.
• Advise senior management of potential problems and help resolve conflicts to minimize delays.

This position Requiresprevious commercial construction experience.

Duties include the following as it pertains to on-site management of a construction project:

• Take the lead on productivity issues and monitor work performance and efficiency of employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule are followed and project is executed effectively and within budget.
• Contribute to the development of a construction plan to manage subcontractor activities.
• Ensure construction compliance with design requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate field engineering and construction activities.
• Practice sound selection and hiring procedures.
• Assure compliance with project construction schedule budgets and assume responsibility for the commissioning of project systems.
• Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project quality standards.
• Implement and enforce company safety standards and policies on the job site.
• Document and report all injuries, fill out the Incident/Accident Report.
• Advise senior management of potential problems, work interference's or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts.
