Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
  • Experience with aerial and underground fiber installation (HDD) is a plus.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specs, and current construction practices.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to supervise craft employees and subcontractors.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects meet approved plans, specs, and building codes.
  • Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs; oversee incident investigations.
  • Review and update construction schedules; address delays and contribute to schedules.
  • Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
  • Monitor reporting and financial aspects of the project.
  • Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
  • Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.

As a Superintendent with Ledcor Technical Services, you will take the lead in our daily field operations. You will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will execute project plans and schedules, uphold site safety and quality control, and manage the work of field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. Your leadership will be central to keeping our projects running smoothly and successfully.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
  • Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
  • Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
  • Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
  • Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
  • Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
  • Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
Qualifications
  • One to three years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
  • Experience in aerial and underground fiber instillation methods is a plus. (Plow and Horizontal Directional Drill, HDD)
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
  • Effective Communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
Working Conditions
  • This is a site-based position
  • Travel required throughout multiple states
  • 50-70% travel
