Job Summary
As a Construction Superintendent at Hill & Wilkinson, you will oversee large commercial projects ($10 million–$100 million), managing on‑site operations, ensuring timelines and safety standards, and coordinating with subcontractors, architects, and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Project planning and execution: scheduling tasks and managing the overall project timeline.
- Quality control: inspecting work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
- Safety compliance: enforcing safety regulations on the job site and addressing potential hazards.
- Subcontractor management: coordinating with subcontractors, assigning tasks, and monitoring their performance.
- Communication: maintaining open communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and crew members.
- Budgeting and cost control: tracking project expenses and ensuring the project stays within budget constraints.
- Site supervision: overseeing daily operations on the construction site, including material management and equipment maintenance.
- Problem‑solving: identifying and resolving issues that arise during construction.
- Reporting: providing regular updates on project progress to relevant parties.
Job Qualifications
- Recent proven experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent running projects as the lead person on‑site; please submit a detailed project list with your resume.
- Experience with Higher Education, K‑12, Healthcare, Industrial Tilt‑wall, Manufacturing, Municipalities such as library, courthouse, Police and Fire Stations.
- Honest, dependable, responsible & attentive.
- Aligned with H&W Values and Ways.
- Willing to work with a team.
- Able to read Civil, Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office; extended knowledge of Excel a plus.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Manage time without supervision.
