Job summary

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and prior yarn/manufacturing experience, with a willingness to perform training, housekeeping, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• On-the-job and safety training certifications completed.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain efficiency and meet production standards by threading and repairing breakouts.
• Proactively identify yarn quality during production runs.
• Select and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Doff finished yarn packages as required.
• Maintain daily production records.
• Run creeling and winding sides when needed.
• Use black light to check for mixes.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping as required.
• Complete tasks assigned by management.

Primary Objective

In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position. Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals.

Major Function and Scope

Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards
• Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs
• Selects and stages tubes for winder operation
• Doffs off finished yarn packages as required
• Maintains daily production records
• Run both creeling and winding side when needed
• Uses black light to check there are no mixes
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
