Education LevelNot Specified## Description**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**1. Answer and provide a timely response to incidental phone calls and support needs,2. Be available to cover shifts as needed to ensure proper staffing.3. Ensure the safety of residents of the community care facility at all times.4. Engage in professional and timely writing and submission of progress reports to meet specific requirements set forth for Enhanced Behavioral Support Homes/ARFs in Title 17 and 22 regulations.5. Knowledge of and an advanced understanding, of adults with developmental disabilities including those who have complex behavior challenges, psychiatric, or emotional issues.6. Oversee, coordinate, attend, document and transport to/from treatment planning, adjunctive therapies, mental health services, behavioral management, BIT social skill training, counseling, community supports, linkages, independent living skills, educational services, etc.7. Oversee and ensure daily staff completion of all data tracking, progress notes, medication dispensation sign-offs and other required procedures.8. Possess advanced knowledge of psychotropic medications, their use, side effects and how these medications affect individuals with developmental disabilities; and their effects on early school age children and adolescents.9. Implement various forms of behavioral support (IBSP) and emergency intervention plans, and to both receive and give training in First Aid/CPR, Ukeru and/or Pro-ACT up to monthly.10. Maintain referral log and monitor information necessary for preparation of statistical, demographic and other assigned administrative or contract reporting, coordinating systems and reporting with Administrative Assistant.11. Ensure that culturally appropriate resources are sought for each resident as well as encouraging family (family of origin, domestic partners, friends and other support people) involvement.12. Complete accurate and timely charting and program evaluation reporting, including 100% accuracy with required binders, posted documents and other paperwork.13. Consult with medical personnel and participate in multi-disciplinary treatment teams and administer/direct meeting in their efforts to evaluate and assess quality treatment services and supportive treatment approaches.14. Demonstrate awareness of residents rights, person-centered planning principles and potential for resident abuse; promptly reporting any adverse behavior, resident abuse or suspected abuse and/or neglect.15. Comply with the EBSI policy requirement to submit proof of valid CDL, maintain good driving record, and submit proof of auto insurance for current period of coverage.16. Ensure compliance with all Regional Center, local, state, and federal regulations, and ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT, INC. Policies and Procedures, including outstanding reviews during both announced and unannounced visits by overseeing agencies.17. Meet requirements for continuing education in H & S Code 1562.3 (f) (1) for renewal of Super Lead certification.Meet Title 17 qualifications, Service Level 4 Super Leads, Section 56037 and Title 17 EBSH Section 59060:(1) Have a minimum of **24 months** of prior experience providing direct supervision and special services to persons with developmental disabilities;**Skills and Abilities:** Ability to plan, self-initiate tasks, organize, and work in a specialized treatment program involving members of other treatment disciplines; coordinate all aspects of program services with EBSI management team; coordinate and engage in professional communication with program consultants and program leadership; teach and participate in professional training; recognize situations requiring the creative application of technical skills; develop and evaluate creative approaches to the assessment and implementation of evidence-based practices; within ones scope of practice, conduct assessment lay groups; analyze situations accurately and take effective action. Must be able to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate verbally by phone in English in a clear and concise manner. The Program Super Lead demonstrates **excellent written communication skills and problem-solving skills**, even in the most challenging of situations. Bi-cultural and bi-lingual preferred. Ability to manage socio-cultural issues and respect individuals cultural heritage.**Special Personal Characteristics:** Aptitude for working with individuals who are acutely ill, infirm, visually impaired, have a developmental disability, mental disability, emotional disorder, unpredictable and even violent or self-injurious behavior. Proactive team member who offers solutions to complex presenting problems.**Physical Abilities:** Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., approximately three (3) times per week. Must be able to navigate several flights of stairs during each work shift. Ability to drive safely in heavy traffic and inclement weather.**Mental Abilities:** Ability to think clearly and manage multiple changing priorities, and remain pleasant and positive. Requires critical thinking and ability to manage difficult population. Requires good judgment. Maintain concentration and alertness in meetings.**License Required:** Registered Behavior or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (or qualified behavior modification professional), Possession of a valid Adult Residential Care Facility Super Lead Certificate, SARC Residential Services Orientation, Ukeru and Pro-ACT Certificates, DSP I, DSP II certificates, DOJ and FBI clearance, [child abuse index clearance as applicable], and TB clearance prior to provision of services. A valid California Driver's License - Class C. Proof of current auto insurance prior to using ones car for agency-authorized work or transport purposes. Any direct support employee who works at an EBSI home with a pool must have a water safety certificate prior to their first shift.Employment is contingent upon proof of eligibility to work, 21 years of age or older, verification of degree/credentials, satisfactory health exam, fingerprint clearance, submit proof of valid California Driver's License, good driving record (must meet insurability requirements of EBSI carrier), submit proof of auto insurance for current period of coverage, successful completion of CPR and First Aid Training, and agree to uphold all ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT INC.
