Job summary

Harris Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support the operating room team with aseptic technique and critical intraoperative assistance.

The ST II will work under supervision to prepare sterile instruments, assist with procedures, and maintain personal and patient safety while ensuring quality care for Harris County residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT with current CPR certification.

The Surgical Technologist II (ST II) assists the surgical team in operative procedures utilizing proper aseptic technique. The ST II has current knowledge of equipment, suture, and procedures being performed. The ST II demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited educational program for surgical technologists.

Certified as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing. Current CPR certification.

One (1) Year Related Experience Preferred.
