Job summary

Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented 2027 Structural Summer Intern to join our team in California. You will work under the direction of a degreed engineer on basic to moderately difficult assignments and gain hands-on experience in structural design and drafting.

Your duties include supporting a registered structural engineer, taking notes, preparing sketches, structural calculations, and developing drawings and reports while learning design standards and building codes.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Civil/Structural Engineering program at an accredited college or university.
• At least 3 years of coursework in structural engineering.
• Fundamental knowledge of design/drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist under a registered structural engineer with basic to moderate engineering support tasks.
• Document notes, calculations, and sketches and formalize into reports and drawings.
• Create drawings and calculations per building codes.
