Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Procurement Intern for the summer program in Louisville, KY. The internship runs 20-30 hours per week with scheduling flexibility, and you will assist in procurement services including office supplies, furniture, medical supplies, foodservice items, vendor contracts, bank card purchases, and related tasks.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in a 4-year program, with a basic Excel proficiency and an interest in data analysis.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at a 4-year institution majoring in business or related field.
• No prior experience required.
• Moderate level of proficiency in Excel, required.
• Ability to analyze, synthesize, and report data, preferred.
• Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Team oriented and collaborative environment.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks timely.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile financial transactions
• Coordinate with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate general ledger entries
• Communicate with field operators on vendor follow-up and contracts
• Assist procurement managers in various data analytic functions
• Approve ordering of necessary goods and services
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned
