Carboline in Lake Charles, LA invites students for a 12-week Process Engineering Internship (May 17 – Aug 6, 2027). You'll collaborate with engineers to streamline processes, apply LEAN tools, analyze designs for manufacturability, and support safety and sustainability initiatives using CAD/CAM and time studies.

This hands-on role offers real impact. You’re pursuing an Engineering degree, available 30–40 hours/week, and eager to learn in a global coatings company.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Available to work 30-40 hours per week May–August.
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Engineering Team to optimize manufacturing methods.
• Gain exposure to LEAN, ergonomics, time studies, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
• Analyze design documents and change orders for manufacturability.
• Assist EH&S in environmental and safety initiatives.
• Support equipment, tooling, and automation decisions.
• Conduct time studies and document workflows to improve processes.
• Use CAD/CAM tools for design-related tasks.
