Job summary

Alliance Laundry Systems LLC in Ripon, WI is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Design team and contribute to real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design, documentation, and product development.

This internship offers hands-on project work, teamwork with engineers, and exposure to Creo or SolidWorks modeling, CAD workflows, and lab testing, with mentoring and opportunities to see concepts evolve into production.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Creo or SolidWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engineering documentation: Organize and update drawings, specifications, and agency standards to ensure seamless project workflows.
• Component redesign: Innovate and redesign components for cost reduction and improved assembly efficiency.
• Product development: Adapt concepts into new-size machines, support lab builds of prototypes, and introduce new designs to manufacturing.
• 3D part design: Create detailed 3D models, collaborate with CAD designers, and assist in new product designs across large products.
• Change notification and BOM: Learn and use the change notification system and BOM.
• Launch new products: Assist in part design, concept development, and market launch within the product development system.
• Field and external lab testing: Participate in field testing and external lab evaluations.
• Prototype testing: Procure parts, test fit, troubleshoot design issues, and anticipate assembly concerns for redesigns.
