Job summary

NSA offers a 12-week paid internship program in Summer Language Programs across MD, CO, HI, TX, and UT. Open to undergraduates to Ph.D. students, with diverse majors and opportunities to work on mission-critical problems.

Applicants must be US citizens, enrolled in a degree program, and may need TS/SCI clearance after background checks. Proctored testing (DLAB/DLPT) may be required, with housing/travel entitlements possible for some locations.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required
• Enrolled in a degree-seeking program (undergrad, grad, doctorate) at time of application
• GPA 3.0+ preferred
• Eligible for TS/SCI after background check and polygraph
• DLAB/DLPT testing may be required by 15 November 2026
• Language proficiencies recommended: Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin, Persian Farsi, African languages

Responsibilities

• Participate in NSA Summer Language Program internships (12 weeks) across multiple sites.
• Work on mission-critical problems within NSA spaces.
• Engage in structured assessments and processing as part of the internship program.
