The Wall Street Journal internship program invites driven student journalists to gain hands-on newsroom experience before their senior year. It targets college juniors and graduate students returning to school, with opportunities in New York, Detroit, San Francisco and Los Angeles under the mentorship of seasoned editors.

Desire is for candidates with strong writing and reporting skills, capable of working independently under deadline pressure.

Qualificações

• Completed at least one prior reporting internship with another professional media organization or published exceptional work with a campus news outlet or as a freelancer.
• Excellent writing and reporting skills are required.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure and maintain high journalistic standards.

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with other reporters and editors to deliver prompt, accurate reporting of news.
• Have the opportunity to write features and cover breaking news ranging from economic indicators and company earnings to big industry or national trends.
• Pitch your own stories, videos, graphics and/or social posts and follow them through to completion with supervision and guidance from an editor.
