Job summary

Westlake Chemical is offering a Summer 2027 Information Technology Internship at our Kentucky plant. This program provides IT students with real‑world experience and hands‑on training in day‑to‑day manufacturing IT activities under mentor supervision.

Interns work on assigned projects, observe department activities, and assist with daily tasks while actively participating in safety/environmental programs. A journal is kept and a presentation to management is required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed second year of college and be majoring in Information Technology.
• Must be an active student with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects with close supervision of mentor/supervisor.
• Observe activities of the assigned department/unit.
• Assist mentor/supervisor in day-to-day tasks.
• Actively participate in complex safety/environmental programs.
• Maintain intern work/activity journal.
• Presentation to management team.
