Job summary

RGA is seeking a graduate-level intern for portfolio management analytics in the United States. You will gain exposure to investment analysis, asset allocation planning, and reporting processes within a global insurance investment management context.

Responsibilities include enhancing portfolio reports, conducting research on issuers and markets, and collaborating with portfolio managers and analysts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in a Finance/Economics/Accounting/Actuarial or related degree program at a US university.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Technology savvy with programming and process-improvement/automation skills.
• Creative thinker and self-motivated.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Generate and implement improvements to portfolio management reports using BlackRock Solutions, Excel, and internal data warehouses.
• Ensure investments are reviewed, analyzed, and accounted for in a timely and proper manner; provide information on holdings and portfolio risks to portfolio managers and analysts.
• Assist portfolio management with building strategic asset allocation plans.
• Develop research reports on issuers, industries, and markets for communications with Investments leadership.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Participate in special projects, committees, and meetings.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects as time permits.
