Job summary

American Century Investments seeks an Investment Operations & Transformation Intern for a 10-week program at our Kansas City, MO office. You will participate in structured training, receive mentorship, and contribute to meaningful projects across Investment Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Operations.

The role targets an undergraduate rising senior with a strong interest in finance, capital markets, and process improvement. 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Incoming senior enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, IT, CS, or related field.
• A strong interest in gaining hands-on experience in the finance industry and capital markets.
• Clear, concise, and detail-oriented communication in verbal and written formats.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams across Investment Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax, and Operations.
• Execute diverse daily and periodic operational processes to gain practical experience.
• Develop understanding of risks and control frameworks across the organization.
• Identify process improvements and create solutions using low-code tools.
• Support ongoing projects and strategic initiatives for the program.
