Job summary

Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (AJCP) is hiring a Summer Investment Management Analyst to support private equity real estate across hospitality, multifamily, and other sectors. This onsite Chicago internship runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, with collaboration across Investments, Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Finance teams.

You will assist in evaluating investments, budgeting, and market research while creating materials for investment committee and investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or real estate with an anticipated graduation Winter 2027 to Spring 2028.
• Ability to navigate MS Office (emphasis on Excel) and quickly learn other applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investments and property financings and monitor asset-level and fund-level performance.
• Collaborate with development and finance teams to understand budgeting and contracting.
• Analyze financial impact of capital events to fund performance (CapEx, dispositions, development changes, financing).
• Conduct market research and build dashboards/databases to support platforms.
• Prepare materials for executive review and investor reporting of AJCP’s active vehicles.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Work closely with the Investments, Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Finance teams on special projects, including the evaluation of new investments and property financings and the monitoring of on-going asset-level and fund-level performance


• Interact with the development teams and various functions to understand budgeting and contracting


• Analyze the financial impact of proposed capital events to fund performance (e.g., CapEx projects, asset dispositions, alterations to development plans, financing activity, etc.)


• Conduct competitive market research to support emerging platforms and create and maintain market research-oriented dashboards and databases


• Support the creation of materials and presentations for executive review, including presentations used for investment committee approvals and quarterly and annual investor reporting of AJCP's active investment vehicles

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Working towards a bachelors' degree in finance, economics, or real estate with an anticipated graduate date of Winter 2027 to Spring 2028


• Ability to navigate various computer applications, including MS Office (emphasis on Excel) and aptitude to quickly learn other applications

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensations for roles that will be performed in Illinois. The pay listed represents the hourly pay rate for AJCP’s investment internship positions. Pay: $35/hr. In addition, we provide a monthly housing stipend and paid summer holidays.
