Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect Intern to join our Atlanta office and contribute to security standards and architecture work.

You’ll gain hands-on experience while supporting team initiatives and learning about the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries. You will work under senior engineers, review security controls, analyze configurations, and research topics like cloud security and post-quantum cryptography.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university, advancing to junior year, pursuing Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Solid grasp of core security concepts (networking, IAM, cryptography) and basic scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and version control (Git/GitHub).
• Strong analytical and written communication skills; able to document technical findings clearly and collaborate across teams.
• Exposure to security tooling (SAST/SCA, firewalls) is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Architect Intern will support the team's work on security standards and best practices, with exposure to emerging security topics.

Responsibilities

Internship Program Schedule

To accommodate varying academic calendars, the ICE Internship Program offers two schedule options:

• Option 1: May 24, 2027 - August 6, 2027

• Option 2: June 7, 2027 - August 20, 2027

Candidates will be asked to select their preferred session during the application process.

Please Note: Interns must be available to work full-time, five days a week, at our Atlanta office for the entire duration of one of the designated program schedules. Partial participation or alternate dates cannot be accommodated.
