Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago invites a Summer Intern to join the Financial Accounting & Markets (FAM) team. You will contribute to finance transformation, data analytics, and reporting improvements, while gaining exposure to enterprise systems and process changes within a collaborative in-office environment.

You will learn about FAM processes, system support, and dashboard development, with mentorship and opportunities to impact reporting capabilities and user experiences.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, finance or information systems or related field.
• Junior or Senior standing at an accredited college or university.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Finance Transformation initiatives and reporting improvements.
• Assist with data analytics, dashboard development, and process documentation.

This team is responsible for developing, overseeing, monitoring, and reporting on strategic and operational transformation initiatives across FAM, as well as administering and optimizing key finance systems that support critical business processes.This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to finance transformation, business process improvement, enterprise systems administration, data analytics, and organizational change management.
