Job summary

Emerson is offering a Summer Audit Intern position based in St. Louis, MO. You will assist with financial audits and SOX control reviews under supervision, supporting GAAP compliance and corporate policies. The role emphasizes growth and potential for full-time Staff Auditor after graduation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a degree in accounting/finance/business, with strong Excel/Power BI skills. Core hours are 9:00 am–3:00 pm, with travel within the U.S. and possibly abroad.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently graduated in accounting/finance/business field.
• Must be legally allowed to work in the United States; no sponsorship.
• Full-time availability during the summer term (approximately 40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Perform audits using a risk-based, process-focused approach.
• Report control deficiencies and recommend risk-mitigation actions.
• Challenge existing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate with stakeholders across the company.
• Travel activity around the United States and possibly internationally (15-25%).
