Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals invites interns to join the Upstream Biomanufacturing teams within the Process Sciences department. Interns will support living cell culture, bioreactor operations, data collection, and process optimization to help manufacture Regeneron medicines.

Internships are full-time and onsite in the Rensselaer/East Greenbush area of NY, with compensation based on education level. Opportunities span hands-on lab work and data-driven projects, with potential exposure to JMP,

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
Demonstrated leadership in campus activities, clubs, sports, work, or community preferred

Responsibilities

Work with the teams that grow and maintain the living cells used to produce Regeneron's medicines.
Develop and test cell culture processes, and collect data to improve cell growth and production.
Run cell culture experiments (shake flasks to benchtop bioreactors), compare scale-up performance using sensors and process models.
Use analytical instruments like LC-MS, and apply coding/data tools to visualize and report results.
Apply basic lab skills (pipetting, aseptic technique, data recording); some projects use JMP, Python or MATLAB for analysis.
