Job summary

Allegion at Carmel, Indiana is offering a Summer Intern position in the Tax group. You will contribute to state income tax compliance, gain exposure to corporate tax projects, and have access to leaders within the finance team in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Qualified candidates are pursuing Accounting/Finance degrees, demonstrate curiosity, and show leadership in scholastic or project activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant discipline.
• Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques.
• An inquisitive nature, the aptitude to ask questions and apply outcomes to similar situations.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.

• Opportunities to research state statutes for the purpose of supporting tax return filing positions
• Assist with other tax projects as needed

Summer Intern - Tax - Carmel, Indiana

As an Allegion tax intern, you will contribute meaningful work and make a direct impact to the finance team. You will gain hands-on experience in U.S. state income tax compliance with additional exposure to other areas of corporate tax. Additional opportunities include one-on-one access to leaders throughout our finance team, experience with the latest tax technology, opportunities to give back to the central Indiana community and an open and casual working/learning environment. Ideally, you have an inquisitive nature and are 'curious beyond the obvious'; eager to learn by asking questions with the ability to problem-solve in an efficient and creative way.
