Job summary

Philips is offering an internship in Systems Test Engineering at their New Kensington, PA site for Summer 2027. The three‑month paid program gives undergraduates hands‑on experience testing electromechanical medical devices, from components to systems, while aligning with quality procedures.

You will learn to set up and run tests, analyze data, and assist with test reports, with mentorship and opportunities to explore automated test tools and scripts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering with coursework in testing, data analysis, hardware or software lab work.
• Familiarity with product verification and clear technical writing is expected.
• Interest in learning automated test tools and test-script improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support verification and validation activities for electromechanical medical devices and accessories at multiple levels (component, subsystem, system).
• Create and execute test plans, procedures, and reports; review requirements for clarity and testability.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot test equipment for mechanical, electrical, and embedded software testing; collect and document data.
• Identify defects, support investigations and regression testing; contribute to test automation ideas.
