Allegion’s Hague Road Technical Center in Indianapolis invites a Summer Intern to support Systems Engineering within the Product Lifecycle Engineering organization. You will help create documentation, analyze designs, and test components while working with experienced engineers on real-world solutions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing engineering or computer science degrees, show leadership and initiative, and can thrive in team settings.

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering or computer science.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative in school, work, or projects.

  • Sophomore year completed by start of internship for undergraduates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation (requirements, interface definitions, system block diagrams).
  • Assist in design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies.
  • Participate in design peer reviews and present findings to cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do:
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams
  • Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies
  • Participate in design peer reviews and present findings to cross‑functional teams
  • Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver well‑rounded, system‑level solutions
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g., school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
  • Comfortable with hands‑on lab work and problem solving
  • Ability to work in both a team and individual setting
  • Effective communication, time management, and creative problem‑solving techniques
  • Sophomore year must be completed by the start of the summer internship program for undergraduate candidates
  • A desire to learn, grow, and develop by working on projects that will impact customers
