Job summary

Hawaiian Electric is seeking a Summer Intern in System Operation Planning on Hawaii Island to support outage management and data quality testing. You will work under a dedicated mentor on an objective-based project and participate in cross-functional activities.

The internship targets current post-secondary students studying Electrical or Computer Engineering, with at least a 3.0 GPA, and strong academic standing. Applications require a digital transcript.

Qualifications

• Must be a current, active student at a post-secondary school (college or community college).
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Must be attending school Fall 2027.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be studying a degree in the area of Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• For Summer 2027, we will accept applications from students whose expected graduation date is December 2027 or later.
