Job summary

Merck's Future Talent Program in Rahway, NJ offers a 10–12 week summer internship in Global Scientific Value Content within the Research Labs division. You will work on projects to develop and communicate the clinical and scientific value of our medicines, under the guidance of a preceptor and key stakeholders.

You will gain hands-on experience in literature reviews, content development, and cross-functional collaboration, building skills for a career in pharma.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in the sciences or related field.
• Returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Available to work full-time for 10-12 weeks starting May 2027.
• Experience conducting literature searches and using published literature.
• Basic understanding of biomedical sciences and ability to categorize literature by therapeutic areas.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and time management.
• Some experience creating presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Author content aligned to Annual Value and Implementation plans under supervision.
• Review Global Scientific Value Content materials for scientific accuracy and consistency.
• Engage stakeholders in development, review, and approval of deliverables.
• Communicate availability of deliverables to cross-functional teams.
• Utilize company-approved AI tools to innovate content while maintaining rigor.
