Job summary

StandardAero, Inc. is offering a Summer Intern – Finance position in San Antonio, TX. The role provides hands-on experience in financial analysis, cost management, and budgeting within the aerospace MRO sector.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager and stakeholders to support data management, reporting, and process improvements while applying academic knowledge to real-world scenarios.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses, including budget-versus-actual comparisons, cost forecasting, and trend analysis.
• Cost Management: Support the tracking and analysis of expenses, including labor, materials, and overhead. Assist in identifying cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Data Management: Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring accurate and timely data entry for expense tracking, invoicing, and purchase orders.
• Budget Assistance: Help prepare budgets and forecasts, providing support during month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities.
• Invoice Processing: Assist in reviewing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate cost allocation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to understand key cost drivers and improve financial reporting accuracy.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare financial documentation, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders, including summaries of key financial metrics.

Basic Qualifications:
