Job summary

Manulife John Hancock invites you to join the Summer 2027 Retirement Sales Internship. You will learn foundations of investments, financial products, and the John Hancock business model while training on Salesforce and other sales tools.

Expect to support the retirement sales team through research, reports, and cross‑functional projects. You’ll network with experts across departments, participate in development workshops, and receive coaching from sales leaders and L&D.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Sales, Business Administration or related fields.
• Strong academic performance and genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance or sales post-graduation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

• Train on core sales systems such as Salesforce, Brightscope Beacon, investment comparison tools, and other prospecting resources.
• Support retirement sales divisions by conducting research, preparing reports, and contributing to internal projects.
• Participate in networking sessions with subject matter experts across departments including National Accounts, Investments, Marketing, and Product.
• Engage in professional development workshops and coaching from sales leaders and the L&D team.

This internship program provides students with an immersive professional learning experience in retirement sales at John Hancock. Designed to build a pipeline of future talent, this program exposes interns to sales strategy, financial products, and client engagement while working alongside Internal Sales leadership and business partners. Students will gain practical knowledge of investments and sales systems, sharpen their professional skills, and expand their networks across the organization.

• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm for client engagement, and strong relationship-building skills.

Salary range is expected to be between: $39,000.00 USD - $44,850.00 USD The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work-term.
