Job summary

Peoples Gas System in Florida invites eager students to a 12-week Summer Internship (2027). The program runs May 17–August 6, 2027, offering 36 hours per week onsite in the Tampa Bay Area with multiple locations.

Interns will tackle real projects across engineering, analytics, marketing, safety, and operations, receiving mentorship and professional development workshops, and presenting a final showcase of their work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate program, or a graduate program, at an ABET-accredited university.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• A pre-employment drug screening, as well as a background check (education, employment, criminal and motor vehicle) will be conducted.
• A physical may be conducted if required for the role.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• Onsite Locations: Tampa Bay Area (Midtown Tampa, Palm River, and more); Travel to other locations
• Note: Housing and relocation assistance are not provided. This opportunity is best suited for students who are or will be local to the area during the designated timeframe.
• Qualifications: Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate program, or a graduate program, at an ABET-accredited university or college. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
