Job summary

Itron is offering a paid intern opportunity in its Global FP&A team in Liberty Lake, WA, for summer 2027. This position provides real-world experience in corporate finance, requiring three years of college in Finance or related field and strong Excel and MS 365 skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with monthly close, forecast reporting, collaborating across functions, and presenting projects to senior management. The role supports hybrid work with 2 days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited finance-related degree with ≥3 years of college coursework.
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, charts, formulas.
• Strong workplace communication skills.
• Understanding of financial planning, analysis and reporting.
• Experience with digital collaboration tools (Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly closing requirements.
• Prepare reports for financial plans and operating forecasts for G&A and total company.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support forecasts and monthly/quarterly performance reporting of actuals vs. budget.
• Coordinate FP&A processes and related workflows.
• Drive a project to completion and present to senior management.
