We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Summer Facilities Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.

Deadline

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking reliable and motivated Part-Time Facilities Assistants to join our Facilities Team for the summer season. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance and support tasks to help keep our campus safe, clean, and well-maintained. The ideal candidates should be comfortable using basic hand tools and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities.

Essential Functions
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks around campus.
  • Assist with landscaping, cleaning, and upkeep of facilities.
  • Use basic hand tools safely and effectively for minor repairs.
  • Support the Facilities Team in daily operational tasks as assigned.
  • Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Give evidence of a Biblical worldview and a personal spiritual commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and should be committed to and in agreement with the philosophy and objectives of Southlake Christian Academy.
  • Maintain professional appearance as defined in employee handbook.
  • Exercise a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Minimum Requirements
  • Previous experience with facilities maintenance or similar work preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Ability to cultivate strong, collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and act with discretion.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and stressful situations.
Compensation

Commensurate With Experience Based On Individual Qualifications.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
