Job summary

Earthjustice’s Washington, DC Regional Program invites law students for a paid summer law clerkship to support case development, litigation strategy, and research. Clerks may draft pleadings, research legal theories, gather evidence, and participate in meetings and court proceedings.

The program includes seminars, guest speakers, and interactions with environmental groups, with a 10-week, full-time schedule and a weekly stipend of $1,382 before taxes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a U.S. law school through fall 2027.
• Available to commit ten weeks during summer 2027.
• Willing to work from the U.S. during the clerkship.

Responsibilities

• Summer Law Clerks will work with several attorneys on case development and litigation strategy.
• Draft pleadings and briefs, perform legal research, and attend client meetings and court proceedings.
• Engage in program offerings such as seminars and interactions with environmental groups.
