Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) invites you to join its 12-week summer internship program in California. You'll work on real-world energy projects, paired with a mentor, and gain hands-on experience while building your professional network.

The hybrid role requires enrollment in a Bachelor's degree in engineering with a 2.8+ GPA and graduation after Dec 2027. The internship runs May/June to Aug/Sept 2027, with interviews starting November 2026 through March 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering with graduation date Dec 2027 or later.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Hybrid work arrangement in California.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-world challenges within the utility/energy sector.
• Paired with a mentor and collaborate to apply knowledge, grow skills, and make an impact.
• Build professional network through intern events.
• Work with cross-functional teams on projects.
• Ongoing support to grow personally and professionally.
• Present at the annual Intern Expo to showcase internship project.
• Gain hands-on experience with industry-relevant software and tools.
• Demonstrate effective and open communication.
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
