Job summary

SOM invites students in architecture, structural and sustainable engineering, urban planning, graphic design, or interior design to join the Summer Internship Program. Interns work with interdisciplinary teams, build design and visualization skills, and contribute to world-class projects.

The program runs June 7, 2027 through August 13, 2027. Applicants must be returning to school in Fall 2027, have portfolio samples, and submit work samples by January 18, 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s program in architecture or related field.
• Some experience in the architectural profession or related arts.
• Strong design capabilities demonstrated in portfolio.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and visualization software.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Learn from design experts across SOM’s disciplines.
• Build design and visualization skills on world-class projects.
• Contribute to ongoing design projects and presentations.
